About Us

The "Al Barone" Restaurant - Pizzeria is located in the historic centre of Monte Sant'Angelo for the variety and authenticity of the foods offered; it is also recommended for the simple and elegant environment and the courtesy and friendliness of the staff. A rustic and elegant venue with 80 seats, it can be chosen for the most diverse occasions: from dinner for a couple to pizza with friends, an anniversary to an informal outing, and refreshments from a tourist walk. Easy to reach, the restaurant is located a few steps from places of interest, such as the Basilica of San Michele Arcangelo (UNESCO Site since 2011) or the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions. The "Al Barone" restaurant takes its name from the street, the birthplace of an illustrious man who also became bishop of the Diocese of Ruvo di Puglia, Baron Bartolomeo Gamdadoro. The cuisine is personally supervised by the owner, ranging from typical dishes re-evaluating the ancient flavours, such as the mountain pancetta, the laine chickpeas and cod, the exquisite ncapriata of broad beans and wild chicory or the classic grilled tortellini. For the more demanding, fish and game specialities are also offered, accompanied by wine tasting that the Barone's wine shop offers.
